Come in, have a bite to eat or a drink with your friends and donate a toonie to a great cause!! The Alzheimer Society has tons of info on their website www.alzpei.ca/home.htm.
This month Pasta Night starts as does the Wintertime World Wine Social. Check out this month's trivia question!! Last month's Trivia winner is Linda MacLean. Congrats Linda!!!
Local Supplier Spotlight
This month our supplier in the spotlight is Rodney's Oyster Depot. Rodney is our larger than life oyster supplier - and he is a man who knows his oysters!!! Rodney's Oyster Depot is no ordinary oyster producer and supplier - they grow oysters in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way, leaving behind a minor carbon footprint and they are remarkably knowledgeable about the oysters they harvest. Located in Nine Mile Creek, Rodney's Oyster Depot is our supplier of the freshest, most delicious oysters on PEI.
You can learn more about Rodney, Dean and Rodney's Oyster Depot at their website www.rodneysoysterdepot.com.
A Little Laughter

Did You Know.....
..... January's birthstone is the garnet - from the Latin word "granatus" meaning "grain" or "seed"? It was given to the garnet because of its resemblance to the pomegranate seed.
..... the most popular New Year's Resolutions are:
1) to spend more time with family and friends and enjoy life more?
2) to lose weight, go to the gym regularly, get fit and eat better?
3) to quit smoking and/or quit drinking.... or at least cut back?
4) to get out of debt?
5) to learn something new - like a new language - or travel to a new place?
..... and only 12% of people actually achieve their goals!!!!
..... January 18th, 1982 set the record for the most extreme minimum daily high temperature and the most extreme wind chill in Charlottetown? The temperature that day was -30.5 degrees Celsius..... -50.2 degrees Celsius with the wind chill!!!! (Environment Canada data - from 1971 to 2000).
Server Spotlight
This month Stephanie Bowtle is our server in the spotlight. Stephanie is without a doubt one of the sweetest, kindest, friendliest, hard working servers we have. Her attitude is always positive and always cheerful. She is a smart cookie - attending UPEI - and if there is one thing we all know about Stephanie it is that she DOES NOT like spicy food!!!!
The Galley
Why not join us in The Galley for lunch? Crystal and Jennifer can whip you up a sandwich or get you a bowl of hot, fresh soup. Plus we have everyone's favorite cinnamon rolls, cookies, muffins and desserts!!!
